Contemporary Interpreter Training
DEJA DONNE’s school for interpreters in contemporary performance
DEJA DONNE offers a training programme for Italian/European interpreters in contemporary performance.
The programme takes place regularly one weekend in the month from September till May in Castiglion del Lago, loc. Ferretto (PG), Umbria, Italy and consists of 8 workshops, each of which is 4 days long.
The main didactical line is given by DEJA DONNE company, which introduces its working, creation and training methods. Additionally to this, the programme presents workshop meetings with international pedagogues/ interpreters/ choreographers, who are closely connected to the working philosophy of the company.
The task we would like the participants to achieve during the CIT, is to develop personal way of moving and individual strength in movement and interpretation. Through strong dance technique and assimilation of basic physical laws in own body, in relation body/space and in contact we will lead participants to an idea of global-round movement, not based on fixed theoretical rules, but on individual needs of each mind and body.
CIT is accessible to all interpreters active in the field of contemporary performance.
