A GLIMPSE OF HOPE
creation 2008

We are living in times in which we must defend life from the brutality and obscurantism created by the conventions of a society that survives in the fear of losing material security which other societies cannot even dare to think of achieving.

We want to use the knowledge that we have acquired in all these years of impulsive theatre reasearch in order to create shows designed to give dignity to those who are living through emergencies that are more dramatic than formalism.
We would like to work with people that consider the stage to be an opportunity and not a nice profession.

We have planed to create three shows, a trilogy entitled Happiness is Only a Question of Habit in 2005.

The first performance entitled „My Name is King“ was created for men in 2006, premiered in Archa Theatre Prague on 12th September 2006 in co-production with Dance Umbrella festival London, Theater im Pfalzbau Ludwigshafen, JES Stuttgart, Künstlerhaus Mousonturm Frankfurt and with support of Culture 2000.

The second performance “A Glimpse of Hope” – (2008) was created just for women, so as to examine opinions about the subjects dealt with men from the different point of view.

A Glimpse of Hope is a feminine look to the world. Four women, four strong personalities, four towers, action, violent passion and humour are the ingredients of the latest DEJA DONNE creation. Entitled A Glimpse of Hope, this performance does not aspire to be a messenger of any unheard-of message, but wants to be a tragicomical and ironic reflection of actions created by four female performers. Different for their age, morphology and character, they are bringers of dreams with revolutionary aspirations, they deal with ideals of any size – starting from such as changing the world ending with the smallest, intimate and personal ones. These creatures act, meet, put themself in display, to assert individually for unifying themselves later in extreme diversities.
