Letter to the workshop participants from the teachers team of the Istituto Comprensivo D. Birago, Tuoro sul Trasimeno

One can protest against the evil, the wars, against exploitation, hypocrisy, injustice, one can relieve the pain of others, one can really cultivate dreams, thus life can be a fantastic adventure to be lived together!
You have all demonstrated that Saturday evening on that stage, where in the middle of many words that were difficult to understand and significant gestures, you were the only guarantee for a better future … because you were conscious of the fact that we all together, with courage and passion, can succeed in defeating the evil, transforming evil into good, into love! It is a simple message, actually taken for granted, the one you have comunicated to us, and if only you try to put it in practice in little everyday gestures, then it really has been a great success!
Thank you to all those who believe in us and with their participation have tried, at least a little bit, to wake up our conscience!

Report on collaboration from kids in Tuoro sul Trasimeno:

DEBORAH: I had never done anything of that kind. Giving all of myself, being spontaneous, without learning by heart verses which hinder you from being yourself. We have changed our way of behaving at school. We are now more capable of being silent. Lenka is very patient, she tries very hard and she makes us understand everything. Andrea is very funny, espescially when he dances.
ALESSIA: There is always some imperfection, even after a week of rehearsing there is always something that does not work. I have learned that one can change the world even if it has many defects. We must be better with each other, respect the nature and the environment.
FRANCESCA: I have learned that it is necessary to work in groups. The relationship with the other participants has changed a lot, we are now more comprehensive with each other. I feel a bit lost in such a big theater.
GIULIA: I will remember all the friendships I have made, also the ones I have made in other countries, and things I have learned about recycling and ecology. I will remember the moment I gave my hand to Nordine on stage and the meaning of covering the advertisement wall. I believe it was also a help to the students who arrived later into the group of our class.
