Dr. KATJA SCHNEIDER / Germany

Dr. Katja Schneider (born 1963 in Munich/Germany), journalist, editor, researcher. Katja Schneider was co-founder and editor in chief of the dance magazine tanzjournal (2003–2009), now she is in the editing team of the dance magazine tanz. As a free-lance writer she works for national newspapers (Süddeutsche Zeitung, Stuttgarter Zeitung) and broadcast (Deutschlandfunk). She teaches dance history and dance theory at the theatre department of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. Selected publications: Reclams Ballettführer (Stuttgart 2002/2009, together with Klaus Kieser); Alle Kinder tanzen gern (Weinheim u. Basel 2004); Experimentelles Musik- und Tanztheater (Laaber 2004, together with Frieder Reininghaus); Wann beginnt die Choreographie? (München 2009).

Dr. PIERGIORGIO GIACCHE / Italy

Dr. Piergiorgio Giacchè (born 1946 in Perugia/Italy) associate professor of the Department Man & Territory at the University of Perugia. He teaches theatre and performance anthropology, and the basis of anthropology at the abovementioned university as well as the Cultural Anthropology at the L.U.M.S.A University in Rome. He has directed research on deviation and solitude, on the condition of youth, and on the political participation, before his research on connection between Cultural and Theatre Anthropology. He has been a member of the International School of Theatre Anthropology (1981-1991), where he followed the phenomenon of a “group theatre” and the “identity of the spectator”. He has been the first president of the Foundation Carmello Bene (2002-2005), member of the Comité de Rédaction de “L’Ethnographie” and “Lo Straniero”, and many other national and international magazines. JUDITH HUMMEL / Germany

Judith Hummel (born 1982 in Freiburg/Germany) has graduated in theatre science, art history and pedagogy at Munich University in 2008 and combined her theoretical studies with numerous workshops in the field of dance and performance. She studied at the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam with H. Heshiki, F. Ruckert, J. Fiadeiro, N. Haffner and has assisted to choreographers Anouk van Dijk and Martin Nachbar. She has performed in André Lepeckis "18 Happenings in 6 Parts“ in Haus der Kunst in 2006, and in Monica Gomis’s "A woman with a plan" in 2009. She works regularly for Tanz and Schule e.V. in Munich.

BARBARA SCHRÖER / Germany

Barbara Schröer (born 1972 in Hamburg/Germany) is a dancer, performer and video maker. She works with independent international companies for dance and theatre. She studied dance, choreography and performing arts at the High school for the Arts (EDDC) in Arnhem, Holland. In 2002 she’s got a scholarship at the Accademia della Biennale of Venice, directed by Carolyn Carlson. She worked as dancer and performer with several choreographers and international companies, such as Dogtroep, Neuer Tanz , Morgan Nardi, Suna Göncü, Terrie J. Weikel and Angus Balbernie. In 2004 she met the italian director Antonio Latella and collaborated with him in several productions. Since 2005 she cooperates with DEJA DONNE.
